Hoppy Easter!

My parents are back home after several months of travels in the southern states in the U.S., so we were able to go to their home for an Easter gathering. The kids had fun finding eggs all over the house.  Ajay was giggling with excitement every time he found one before the hunt was supposed to start.  So we had to re-hide a couple to make it harder.  We also decorated eggs.  Even the adults had to make their own designs.

The egg hunt is on...

Let the decorating begin!

My egg design!

When we got home from Oma and Opa's the kids found that the Easter bunny left candy and presents for them on the dining room table.  They were all very happy with the Easter bunny's choices, so much so that they started questioning how the Easter bunny knew they liked these things.

Future Archers?

This week is spring break for the boys so I have been hunting around looking for ideas to fill their days.  We have made homemade puffy paint, play dough and bows and arrows. They boys have spent hours already working on bows.  Maddox also made a sling shot.

Our first camp fire of the season

The boys have been asking to have a camp fire for a week now, so tonight we decided to cook some hot dogs over the fire.

The fun life of Amara

Here is a collection of pictures taken recently of Amara.  She is my little artist.  She loves creating things.

Skating at the duck pond

We had an impromptu family skating day when Matthew and Lisa invited us to go skating at the park this afternoon. Julie was also with us because she was already planning on visiting us this afternoon.

We all walked to the park, though Amara was a bit slower than the rest of them.

All laced up and ready to skate!

The real skaters, the rest of us were just "skating" on boots.

Ajay and Maddox's first science fair

The boys entered their first science fair at their school this year.  They did an experiment to figure out how to make electromagnets stronger.  They had to present it all to the judges too.  And guess what!  They got a gold metal!  They were so excited.

Skating!

Ajay and Maddox received skates from their Oma and Opa for their birthday this past year, so on Christmas break we finally got to try them out.  This is the first year they have skated, mostly because Anton and I tend to hibernate inside in the winter and have not overly encouraged cold winter sports.  So far we have went skating twice and Oma and Opa went once with them, and every time they seem to improve on their skills and ability to stay up.
