Amara's 7th birthday

Amara celebrated her 7th birthday party at Crockadoodle with her friends.  They all really enjoyed painting pottery.

School Division Art show

Every year the school division puts on an art show showcasing many of its artists.  This year all my kids had something displayed.  Amara was one of two kids in her class to have their picture selected.  Ajay and Maddox created a sunflower in their art class.

Easter 2019

Basketball recreation league

Instead of signing Ajay and Maddox up for soccer this year, we signed them up for basketball!  Sadly the community centers near us don't have a team, so we had to randomly select one from the area around us.  Their team is the Roblin Park Raiders.

The Zoo!

We decided to do a family outing on spring break and go to the zoo.  It was fun checking out all the animals, though it was a little colder than we wanted.  Amara was unable to find the red fox, but we did find her an arctic fox.  I really enjoyed watching the wolves! 

Hair Cuts!!!

This past month Amara got her first hair cut at a salon.  It is hard to find a hair stylist close by that it able to tackle my kid's curly hair.  Amara really liked the hair cut and luckily she did not complain about the de-tangling like see does with me.

It is so hard to grow her hair long, so we mainly got her hair shaped and trimmed.

Basketball, awards, concerts and Christmas

 Ajay and Maddox made it onto their school's tier 1 basketball team.  They are good basketball players, though they are rather short compared to their competition, which to be made up of a lot of grade 8 boys that look like they could be in high school.  I am not a short person, but I have felt short next to some of these kids.

Ajay and Maddox also won awards from their school in academics and sports.

At the awards ceremony they were able to meet a CFL player for Anthony Combs. 

 He plays for Toronto Argonauts, though he actually went to both their elementary school and middle school.

Amara had a Winter concert.  It had a Christmas in paradise kind of theme.  

The older kids also did a play about pirates and elves.

We had several family gatherings around Christmas time.

We played a new gift game with dice. 

She loves her blankets and sheets she received from her grandpa.

Christmas morning
