CRAFT: Egg Carton Caterpillars

Yesterday, the boys and I decided to make egg carton caterpillars.  I was amazed at how meticulous their painting was.  They had so much fun that they were painting for nearly 30 minutes.  Which is a long time when you are only painting an egg carton.

The first BIG snowfall of the winter 2010/2011

Last night it snowed about 15cm, which is quite a shock when you have not really had snow yet.  The boys loved it, and started asking me very early if they could go outside to play in it.  Finally I caved in and we put on lots of warm clothes and braved the weather.  They wanted to make snowmen and throw snowballs, but the snow was not quite right, so we settled on snow angels and shoveling walkways.

A new bundle of Joy

Our friends Jarret and Cathy had their first baby last weekend, her name is Brooklyn.  We went to see the new family at the hospital.  

Ajay and Maddox's Third Birthday!

On Friday was Ajay and Maddox's third birthday.  The boys were very excited about everything including all the decorations.  They even started singing "Happy Birthday" to themselves.  We were planning on having their birthday party on Saturday, so we decided to take the boys out for supper at Montana's.  We were joined by Ghislaine and Sage.  After supper we gave them their birthday present from us, which was play nail guns and a bunch of arts and crafts stuff.

On Saturday, we were joined by a bunch of our friends and family to celebrate.  This year I decided against making my own cake as it took a really long time last year.  This years cake theme was "How to Train your Dragon",  a recently release movie that the boys really enjoyed.

First trip to the Dentist

Yesterday we took Ajay and Maddox to see the dentist for the first time.  We found a children's dentist that was luckily close to home.  Both of the boys did a good job sitting in the dentists chair and following their orders.  This time they did an introductory to going to the dentist.  The dental assistant brushed the boys teeth, then used the water sprayer and sucking tube.  After that the dentist came in to count teeth and check to see if everything was okay.  Maddox's teeth were good, but Ajay had a cavity in-between his front two teeth.  We have to go back to the dentist with Ajay in January to get a filling.  We will see if he likes dentists after that.

Halloween Fun!

Last night was Halloween.  We took the boys trick or treating first to peoples houses that we knew, and people that wanted to see them in their costumes.  After we got home the boys wanted to go trick or treating around our house too.  I think Anton got tired before they did.  Ajay was even asking to go out for a bike ride, even though it was all dark outside.  Here are a couple photos from the evening:
