Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas to everyone!  We have been having a great Christmas so far. Here are a couple pictures of what we have been up to for the last couple days.

Ajay's Christmas card to Anton and myself

Maddox's Christmas card.  The reindeer is wearing a scarf, though at first I thought he was clapping his paws.  Either way both cards are really cute.

We had Anton's side of the family at our house.

Turducken!

Turducken - Is a mystical creature that many people have heard of but not very many have seen.  Actually it is a chicken stuffed into a duck which is stuffed into a turkey.  It was a bit more work than a normal turkey since we had to take all the bones except for the turkeys wings and legs out, but it was worth it.

Christmas Concert

This past month the boys were in their first school Christmas concert.  Each class represented a different area of the world.  The kindergarten class represented Mexico.  They sang Feliz Navidad and another song about the hat they got for Christmas was too big (the sombrero).  They were all very cute.

Sneak peek

Ajay and Maddox's kindergarten teacher recently emailed me several photos of them at school.  It is great to get a little sneak peek of the boys at work in school.

Working on pinatas for their "mexico" theme.

In the month of December, their class theme was gingerbread houses/men.

Gingerbread house

This past weekend Ajay and I made a gingerbread house.  Well, actually we bought a pre-baked house from the grocery store which we then put together and decorated with candy.

Amara's first solid food

Amara has been very interested in food lately so we decided it was time to see how she would like some solid food of her own.  We started off with some rice cereal, which she loved.  I thought maybe she would not finish the bowl because she didn't really know how to do it yet, but to my surprise she ate everything.

Visiting Santa

I took the boys to see Santa at the mall today.  They were quite excited to see him.  They told Santa that they want "Playmobil" for Christmas. It was Amara's first Santa visit, though she couldn't really care less.  Luckily she did not cry at all.

GLASSES!!!

They say that twins like doing things at the same time, and I guess getting glasses is one of those things.  They were both given eye tests at school, which they both failed, so we had to bring them to an eye doctor.  Turns out they are both pretty far sighted.  Ajay was okay with getting glasses because I think he realized how much he needed them.  Maddox on the other hand was very upset about it.  Luckily since we got the glasses Maddox has been okay with them.  Probably because he did not know what he had been missing.  We got them each two pairs, one regular and one sunglasses.

Artwork

In the month of November the boys have been learning about planets and space in school.  Here are the planets that they made.

SNOW!!!

This past weekend our city went from having fall to having winter.  I'm not sure how much snow we actually got, but the weather network had predicted 15-20 cm for more than one day.

Happy Halloween!!

Happy Halloween!  I have added some pictures of the kids in their costumes for those of you that are too far away from us to come trick or treating.  Also the two pictures below are monsters that Ajay and Maddox drew at school.

 Amara is the "Butterfly Fairy"

Maddox is Batman, and Ajay is Spiderman.  Ajay really loves his fake muscles.
