Western Canadian Aviation Museum

We joined our friends Tara, Ella and Eliott for an afternoon at the Western Canadian Aviation Museum.  The boys and I had never been there before so it was interesting to see all the planes.  I particularly liked the U.F.O. shown below.  It is actually a plane/car that the company "Avro Air" made for the U.S. government. Sadly though it could only fly 1 meter off the ground.

The kids enjoyed playing in the pretend plane.

Hair cuts

It must be spring because the boys decided to get their haircut this week.  Anton, though is waiting until it gets a little bit warmer for his haircut.

Ultrasound day!

We had our latest ultrasound this morning though were unable to tell if the baby is a boy or girl. The ultrasound technicians are not allowed to tell people anymore, you have to wait for the your doctor to tell you. I hope to find out in a week or so. The baby is looking well and weighing 2lb.7oz, which is a nice big baby for 28 weeks.

Baby bump again

Here is a new picture of me and my baby bump.  I am currently 26 weeks and doing well.  I am looking forward to my next ultrasound at the end of this month when I will be able to find out whether we are
having a girl or a boy.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

We have been having such beautiful weather, that we decided to get out our patio furniture and have a BBQ.    On Friday it got to about 19 degrees C, today was maybe 21 degrees.... tomorrow is supposed to be 28 degrees (but feeling like 30).  That is completely amazing for the month of March.  Everyone is out in shorts, tank tops and sandals.

Lunch at the food court (notice the guys all have green on because of St. Patrick's Day)

(Ajay's "green" is in the form of the hulk though)

We also put the trampoline up the afternoon, though Maddox is sure he broke
his leg twice, yet surprisingly he still walks.

The boys and their friends

After playgroup the other day a bunch of the kids wanted to play outside at the playground.  The four of them actually decided to sit down, hold hands and then called us moms over to take their picture.

Spring has sprung

We have been having record-breaking warm temperatures lately and they have melted our snow really quickly.  Today we decided to do some of our "summer" activities.  First we took a nice ride (or walk in my case) down the street on the scooters.  Then we decided to play some soccer in the backyard and finally we built a sand castle in the sand box.  After all of that we were ready for the homemade yogurt and fruit Popsicle we had made yesterday.

Alvin's Surprise Birthday Party!

Yesterday we surprised my father-in-law, Alvin with a birthday Party.  We all gathered at Ranee's mother's house which has a backyard that is connected to Alvin and Ranee's yard.  Ranee and her mother worked hard making food, telling Alvin that they were making a birthday supper for him.  Then they called him over and we were all there.  He did not suspect a thing.

"Real Cardboard"

We have recently bought the new baby a stroller and car seat.  The boys though we more excited about the big boxes that they items came in.  We cut openings in the boxes and they had themselves robot wars.  They have been into robots lately because we bought them the movie "Real Steel".  In the movie people fight their robots against other people's robots.

The work next door continues...

The work on the house next door is continuing.  They have poured in a concrete footing (shown below), and have built pressure treated foundation walls.  I hope they work quickly though since I'm not crazy about having such a deep pit next to my house.  They have not put a fence up by our side yard, so you can just fall in if you get too close.  Luckily it is winter still so we aren't outside all the time.
