Christmas - Part 5

On Boxing Day we went to my parents house for the day.   We had a great day celebrating with family. 

The boys really wanted book shelves and wall shelves for their room.  Opa was able to make some wonderful ones for them.

Christmas - Part 4

In the afternoon of Christmas Day we had Anton's family over for a Christmas meal.  

Christmas - Part 3

Christmas morning we were woken up at six in the morning.  Maddox and Ajay slept on the floor in their bedroom so it was more uncomfortable and they would wake up sooner.

I thought it was nice that the boys let Amara open all of her presents first.

Ajay and Maddox got nerf style guns that they had a lot of fun playing with.

Amara loved her tent and has spent a lot of time in it already.  

Family zoo day

We decided to have a family zoo day today because we have been having some "warm" winter weather.  That and the zoo is offering free admission for children under 12, and it was also $10 Tuesday.

The camels were very interesting at this time of year.  They were all walking around rather than sleeping which is how we usually see them in summer.

Amara's favorite animal.  She didn't want to leave them.  This guy was very playful. He jumped on and fell off the branch next to him.

This is what happens when the 2 year old drives.

The polar bears were having a great time in the water today.

Christmas - Part Two

We went to another family gathering this afternoon.  The kids had a great time playing with their second cousins.

Christmas - Part One

The holiday season has begun.  Today we decorated and partially ate our gingerbread house.  We also went to a family gathering.

Ajay and Maddox's 7th Birthday

We celebrated Ajay and Maddox's 7th birthday this weekend with a minecraft themed party at the local community Center.

We played "pin" the tail on the minecraft pig.

We also played creeper toss.  

The kids loved the minecraft faces I made beforehand.

We played a game of bingo with a minecraft theme.

All the food had a minecraft name like Twizzlers were "TNT" and strawberries were "Red stone".

Amara really loved the watermelon.

The birthday cake!  The kids loved the "water" the best.

The last game we played the kids had to unroll the plastic wrap ball filled with candy.  On person unrolls the ball while the next tries to roll doubles with the dice.  When the do, they then grab the ball and start unwrapping.

The creeper toss was also a good hiding place for Amara.

Pumpkin Carving

This year was Amara's first year carving a pumpkin.  Well she didn't really carve it, but she did take out seeds.
