My Mom's 60th Birthday Party

We celebrated my Mom's 60th Birthday party this past weekend.  All of us kids brought food for supper so that she did not have to do any work.  We also got Mom a pair of gold hoop earrings.  She is wearing them in the picture below, though you may need to enlarge to picture to actually see them.

We had to go to the "see saw" park again, since this is the boys favorite park.

First Day of Pre-school

The boys had the first day of pre-school this past monday.  They did great.  They gave me a big hug when it was time for me to leave, but they did not cry.  When I came back, they ran across the room to give me a big hug. I think they really loved the indoor play structure.  They also mentioned that they learned "criss cross apple sauce" which the teachers says so that they cross their legs during circle time.

Feeding the ducks and geese

We took the boys to feed the ducks at the park last night, and we were surprised at the number of ducks and geese that were there.  Typically they stay in the pond when we feed them, but that day the were all on the patio with us.  It was interesting to see them so close up, though we had to be careful of those geese so they would not try to bite us to get the bread.

First Day of Pre-school (sort of)

Today the boys and I went to their pre-school orientation day.  Basically they were just instructing the parents as the kids played in the back.  We will find out next Monday how they will deal with separation from me.  The boys were happy that they knew one of the boys in their class, Alex.  They had met Alex in playgroup, and played soccer with this brother Tyler this past spring.
