Christmas Day

Luckily for Anton and I the kids only woke up at 7:15 in the morning.  They told us they wanted to stay up all night or maybe get up at 5:00 am.  Amara was so excited, when she was supposed to go to bed she kept on asking if Santa was here yet.

Family gathering #2

This year we had a family gathering at a Christmas tree farm.  We even got to go on a horse drawn sleigh ride complete with jingle bells.

Christmas with our family means family gatherings.  This year we had almost everyone come out, which is not that easy anymore because so many of them have moved to other provinces.

The Christmas gift game.  We each brought a $15 present.  This year I was #1, so I was able to pick first then again at the end.  We ended up with Jets headphones and ice cube balls.

The girls and I attended our playgroup's Christmas party this week.  We had fun making ornaments and meeting Santa.

Amara's first theatre movie - The Good Dinosaur

We received free tickets from Anton's work to see the movie "The Good Dinosaur".  We thought it would be a great movie to take Amara to, as her first theatre movie.  She loved the movie and the popcorn and drink too.  She was enthralled with the story and sometimes gave me a running commentary on what was happening in the movie.

Christmas concert

Tonight was Ajay and Maddox's school Christmas concert.  This year they are in the choir at school, so we got to see them sing quite a few songs at the concert.

Crazy day at the mall

Today we braved the mall because we going to meet Anton's sister Ghislaine and brother Francois for lunch.  Boy, was that a bad decision because everything was packed.  We did get a chance to go see Santa.  Amara for the first time was excited to see Santa and willingly sat on his lap.  We also saw Spider-Man, and he excited the kids just as much as Santa.

My Birthday!

Happy Birthday to me!!! This evening we celebrated my birthday and went out for supper at Ye's Buffet.  We had never been there before and were unsure how the kids would like it.  We happy to find out though that they loved it, even Amara my picky eater had lots of food.

Happy 8th birthday Ajay and Maddox!

We celebrated Ajay and Maddox's birthday this weekend.  We had eleven boys including Ajay and Maddox.  A big thanks goes out to Julie, who helped me survive that many children.  This year was the theme of Star Wars since the new movie is coming out next month.

We played a game where we tried a balloon to their ankles and they had to stomp on each other's balloon.  The last person with a balloon wins.

We also played keep up the balloon with foam light sabers.

I made a Death Star pinata.

The string holding up the pinata broke before the pinata did so I had to hold it.  Luckily they didn't hit me.
