Basketball!

Basketball is huge in our house. Ajay and Maddox have been practicing their skills for months, watching basketball games and videos to get better.  Sadly, it is hard to play basketball outside in the snow now, so they were forced to find somewhere else to play.  Luckily we found a gym nearby for them to practice.

 So its no surprise that when Ajay and Maddox tried out for their middle school basketball team that they both made it into Tier 1.   They are the only two boys from grade 6 that made it onto Tier 1.

Ajay and Maddox's 11th birthday party

Ajay and Maddox turned 11 this past month.  This year we had a simple birthday party.  We invited a bunch of their friends over to play sports and video games.  They ended up playing basketball for most of the party and had a great time.

Builder's Gala

This year, through Anton's work we were able to attend the annual Builder's Gala.  It is a black tie event, so we had to get Anton a suit.  They had an auction, and one of the items was a giant blowup flamingo that you can use in a lake or pool.  I immediately thought of my daughter Amara, since she would love one of these.

Halloween!

Happy Halloween!  Amara was super excited to be a witch for Halloween this year. Luckily for me we got the costume from friends of ours.  Ajay and Maddox were not quite as excited about Halloween and did not even dress up at school.  They did find some costumes in the basement because they still did want to go trick or treating.  

Atomic Volleyball

Ajay and Maddox are both on their schools atomic volleyball team.  Actually they call it Triple ball, which is pretty much volleyball but they are allowed to catch the ball too.  Yesterday they had a tournament at another school and I needed to pick them up so I came a little earlier to check out their game.  Ajay and Maddox were playing on separate times so I did not see much of Maddox's game, which was almost over by the time I came to the school.  They said they did good though, only losing one game.

Scooters

Ajay, Maddox and their friends wanted to go to a big skate park with their scooters so I found one that was 25,000 sq feet.  Its weird how we never knew that it was there.  

Sky Zone trampoline park

On Saturday this past month we decided to take the kids out to Sky Zone for some fun.  They really enjoyed the basketball hoops.  Ajay and Maddox were able to dunk the ball.

Scooters!

Ajay and Maddox got an early birthday present this year.  They wanted scooters and a chance to use them before snow comes.  They are enjoying doing tricks and jumps on them.

Amaze in Corn

We went with family to a corn maze.  I have never been to one, so I thought it would be the perfect fall afternoon activity.  We did make it out too!

Back to school 2018

And we are back at school... middle school for the boys too.  Its crazy how fast they grow!

Our 14th Anniversary

Anton and I celebrated our 14th anniversary by going out for supper at a restaurant called Carnival Brazilian BBQ, then a nice walk to work off some of the calories we ate.  

Family cottage

We spent a couple days with my family at a cottage.  It was nice to get away from the city for a while.
